ABOUT ME
Who am I?
Ever since I was little, I loved being behind a microphone and knowing that people were listening when I spoke. At the same time, I was playing football, basketball, softball, baseball, and volleyball. However, I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life. Sports media never even crossed my mind as a possibility until I found out about WVFS 89.7, "The Voice of Florida State". I joined V89 Sports, and it was the best decision I ever made. I got reps on air as well as writing, and felt like I finally discovered my passion. I covered various games and began networking with other journalists, commentators, and sports information directors. After a year of hard work, I was promoted to Chief Anchor of the department, directing weekly shift operations. Also during this time, I worked as a Bat Girl for the FSU baseball team. Second semester of my Freshman Year, I took a chance and applied to a 4000-level Advanced Feature Reporting class. Luckily, the instructors saw my potential and took a chance on me. Since then, I have produced 6 features with the class and have won 7 awards.

Sophomore year, I finally got my foot in the door with the company that would change my life, Seminole Productions. Sempro gave me opportunities behind the camera as well as in front. I was offered an audition to be an ACCNX sideline reporter and was the youngest student accepted. Since then, I have worked FSU volleyball, women's basketball, softball, and baseball games. In March 2023, I traveled to Dallas, Texas, after being awarded a scholarship from USA Basketball. I was one out of ten women chosen out of over 200 applicants to attend the Women in the Game Conference. I am now officially a member of the first-ever USAB Women in the Game Cohort.
I served as Chief Anchor for two years until I was finally promoted to Sports Director as the first female in over 30 years. It has been the most fulfilling and full-circle moment of my career, and I am honored to leave my legacy however I can.
I graduated from Florida State University Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA.
I am one of the hardest workers you will ever meet, and I promise to give 110% in every project and challenge that comes my way. Every person in power I have met has taken a chance on me, and every time, I have proved them right. My biggest goal is to make those around me comfortable enough to entrust me to tell their stories. Through my unique personality, I work diligently and with respect for those around me.
One day I hope to have a platform to help athletes/celebrities tell their stories. Through living with two college athletes as well as interacting with them on a daily basis, I understand that they are far more than the uniform they wear or the position they play. They have stories that have the power to change lives and inspire the next generations that look up to them.
My interests do not stop at sports. I love just about every piece of the entertainment industry, from music, television, movies, theatre, amusement parks, travel, and social media. Above all, I want to be a part of something that unites communities, makes people smile, and serves as an escape to this crazy world we are all trying to navigate.

My mission:

Every day I strive to be the best person I can be, both professionally and mentally. I am a huge advocate for body positivity in female reporters in the entertainment industry. I was deeply insecure about my body and took up weight lifting. It has become my favorite hobby and has shown me just how powerful our bodies can be, as well as how important it is to love and nourish them. I hope one day that female reporters are judged more on the information they share rather than the body that their intelligence is displayed on.

I am also an advocate for wearing glasses on camera. I have worn glasses since I was 18 months old and hope that more people embrace them and become comfortable with wearing them on camera. My glasses are a huge part of my life and hope to inspire others to wear them loud and proud.

In 2021, my family started housing an exchange student from Africa named Marouf. Marouf came to the United States with dreams of playing college and professional basketball. Through this experience, I have realized just how many talented and inspiring individuals there are all around the world that need one person to say yes to their dreams. My family has worked very hard to get Marouf to play collegiate basketball, and we cannot wait to see where this journey takes him. I would love to be involved in any global programs and have a passion for finding and telling those stories.
